Introduction: This is an exciting adventure trip to expore Shangri la area in Yunnan: Tranquil villages at the foot of the magnificent mountains, nomads on the green grassland, solemn monasteries, colorful prayer flags, smiling lamas, the horse-racing festivals and the pilgrimage to the sacred mountains are just a few of the things that we can experience on this trip. Furthermore, the people s are very hospitable to any visitors to their homeland. That is, where I personally believe that the name of Shangri-la comes from. Similar to its diverse terrain, ethnic minorities are also found in greater numbers here than anywhere else in China. Over 28 recognized ethnic groups are found in Yunnan. More remarkably, each group still retains much of its individual identity, including customs, dialect, and a way of dress that is as fascinating as it is colorful.

Simple Itinerary:
Day 1 Arrive at Kunming, evening ethnic musical dance show: Dynamic Yunnan.
Day 2 Fly to Lijiang, visit Guangyinxia Gorge and Naxi Minority Village, Dayan Old town. Evening enjoy Naxi Old people’s Music performances as optional
Day 3 In Lijiang, visit Black Dragon Pool, study Dongba Culture, afternoon leisure time at Shuhe Old Town where our hotel is inside.
Day 4 Private car transfer to visit Tiger Leaping Gorge, then drive to Walnut Grove Village, White Water Terrace, and then arrive at Shangri La
Day 5 Private car transfer to Deqi, on the way visit Napa Lake and View the great turning of Jinshajiang River, visit Dong Zhulin Monastery, take a view of Meili Snow Mountain.
Day 6 Car journey to Feilai Lamasery, observe the great sunshine from Meili Snow Mountain, take a horse riding to Mingyong Glacier.
Day 7 Back to Shangri La visit Songzanlin Monastery, the biggest Lamasery in Yunnan.
Day 8 Fly to Kunming, end of journey.
